We develop new technologies for the production of advanced biofuels and biochemicals with yeasts. Our technologies enable yeast to use new substrates and optimise the metabolism to reach higher production rates and yields of desired chemical products. For example, the integration of our C5-technology allows yeast to efficiently use pentoses in addition to glucose both present in lignocellulosic material.
We further develop innovative technologies to enable the yeast to produce new chemical compounds and biofuels like the advanced biofuel butanol. Our technologies can be combined with each other or with various existing industrial production pathways and can be introduced into different industrial yeast strains.
